Folio. Eight leaves (p. 1 through p. 16) from the second issue of Shakespeare's Third Folio published in London in 1664, consisting of te full text of "The London Prodigal." This is te first Folio appearance of this play. It first appeared in quarto in 1605 with the following publication information: "The London Prodigal. As it was plaide by the Kings Maiesties seruvants. By William Shakespeare, London. Printed by T.C. for Nathaniel Butter, and are to be sold neere S. Austins gate, at the signe of te pyde Bull. 1605." All page corners rounded with a few very tiny closed tears and small nicks to the top edge. Small tape repair to a top corner of the seventh leaf affecting the page number and part of the first three lines of page 14. Presented unbound in its own custom made, brown folder with decorative paper label. Near very good condition in a very good fold.
